The images below were obtained on May 12, 2020 following a rain storm that swept across much of northern Vermont. FluidState Consulting flew an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV or drone) to create these images (the panorama is stitched together using three separate frames). Two takeoff points were used. The first was the Lewis Creek fishing access. The second was from the Kingsland Bay State Park.

Drone image looking north from Kingsland Bay State Park property. Lewis Creek’s outflow is the more opaque brown effluent to the north while the combined outflow of the Little Otter Creek (coupled with waters from South Slang Creek) can be seen to the south.

Drone imagery flown from the Lewis Creek fishing access on Lewis Creek. Outflow from Lewis Creek is in the foreground, while outflow from the Little Otter Creek and South Slang Creek can be seen at the far left of the photo (slightly less opaque brownish water). Kingsland Bay State Park is in the background.

Another view of the Lewis Creek outflow taken from the Lewis Creek fishing access. Note that the adjacent wetlands don’t seem to be receiving much of the turbid flow.
